Music Widget

I have just added a music widget on the right of the blog and I will try to keep it updated with the top 10 billboard. You may not like the songs on it but then just blame the people who chose the songs to be the top songs in America not me!

Many Surprises in this week's international fixtures

Many bets will have been lost this week due to the unpredictable results. Disappointing performances by both the world champion, Spain, and the runner-up, The Netherlands, as they could only pull up a draw against Mexico and Ukraine respectively. Some new faces also appeared as Brazil, Argentina and France, among others, have tried out new managers. Good results for Brazil and Argentina as they both managed a win against USA and Ireland but it seems as though France can not come out of their crisis losing their match to Norway. It seems morale within the French team is low as they started leading the match but then quickly lost it as Norway's Huseklepp scored 2 goals to crush new Laurent Blanc's "Les Bleus". Spain almost came to near defeat if it weren't for a master pass by Xavi and a precise placement of the ball by Silva. Spain still holds their record for not losing a friendly match under the management of Vicente Del Bosque. I think the reason for these surprises were the players's desire to go back to training with their clubs. What do you think?

Inter set to equal Barca's record.

6 titles in one year, a challenge only been achieved once in the history of football. FC Barcelona under the guidance of Pep Guardiola managed to conquer 6 titles in the year 2009 which included the Spanish League, Spanish Cup, Champions League, Spanish Supercup, UEFA Supercup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

It seems a trend was started as in 2010, Internazionale managed to win the Italian league, Italian Cup and Champions League. Mourinho's Inter achieved this but now it is up to ex-liverpool manager, Rafa Benitez, to equal Guardiola's 6 titles. Can Benitez step in Mourinho's shoes and make Inter the second team to have achieved 6 titles in a year? First they will have to fight Roma for the Italian Super Cup, and then Atletico de Madrid for the UEFA Super Cup. A heavy pressure is put on Benitez's shoulders...
